Librarians will assist patrons with any research question on any academic topic to the best of our ability.

  1. Librarians will help you find materials on our shelves and in our building.

  2. Librarians will help you find information online, in our library catalog, and in article databases.

  3. Librarians will help you narrow your research topic to make finding resources easier, but we won't tell you what topic you should do your research project on.  That is up to you.

  4. Librarians will help you search for sources for your research topic, but we won't tell you which ones you should use in your paper.  It is up to you to decide what to include in your research.

  5. Librarians can advise you about the relevance or authority of the sources you are looking at and we can help you find high quality resources such as peer-reviewed journal articles.
